Pets: Nope
Best physical feature: No idea
Worst physical feature: No idea
Hobbies (besides running): Ultimate, Basketball, Soccer, Twins
Short-term running goal: Training for speed oriented races à 1 milers, 5ks, 10ks
Long-term running goal: Not sure. Probably the same as above. No particular race in mind yet.
Running achievement of which you are most proud: Joining the team in April. I have plenty of sports related achievements, not many pure running ones yet.
Personal strengths: Sprinting, cutting, jumping, short distances – ultimate/soccer/basketball style stuff
Personal weaknesses: 15+ milers
Running PR’s:
10K – I think around 41
5K – 19:45
1 Mile – 5:45
Years running: on a running team – 1/2, in sports – 20
Number of marathons (or half marathons) finished: Zero
Your favorite race distance, and why: 5k – they’re more attuned to my strengths
Most memorable race finish, and why: My first shamrock shuffle in Chicago. It was my first ever race
Typical training week, a month or two before a major race: Try and worry as little as I can about the race
Injuries: None virtually my entire life – Thank you cross training
Favorite running shoes: Cleats. Also my brooks.
Favorite place to run: Anywhere outside. Probably the lakes.
Running idol: I could name you some ultimate players maybe…basketball even?
Why did you join a running club (or MNRed)? Stay in shape, meet people, keep up performance in sports, meet and beat new race goals, learn how to train better …
Why do you run? Exact same reasons as above
Advice you would give to other runners: I’ll probably have some to give once I learn it myself!
Anything interesting you might like to share about yourself? I’m still kinda trained for sports – I did 10 years of fall soccer, 10 of spring soccer, 6 years of track, 10 years of basketball, and probably up near 10 of ultimate now. So I’m just building off that base….which is why I don’t run marathons (yet)!!
